In 2020, COVID-19 landed in Japan and the infection spread.
The Kobe Red Cross Hospital in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, was in a critical situation.
Doctors, nurses, and administrative staff working at the hospital were making aprons for infection protection.
One day, a doctor happened to look through the window at Kobe Municipal Nagisa Elementary School across the street.
There was a sign hanging in the window that hadn't been there the day before.
"To everyone at the Red Cross Hospital, thank you always. We are all cheering for you!!"
(The building at the top of the image:We received a message of support from Nagisa Elementary School, located across from the Red Cross Hospital.)
The staff members who saw it were touched by it.
Some even shed tears.
After that, the staff who had overcome the crisis hung a banner outside the hospital in a place visible from the elementary school.
"Thank you for your support, I'll do my best!"

The hospital director also called the school principal to express his gratitude.
I deeply realized that human compassion has a power that surpasses logic.
